Terms & Conditions
The rules for using LiveScores South Africa and its score information.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of LiveScores South Africa, including this website, My Sports accounts, notifications and related features. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
LiveScores provides sports scores, fixtures, results, standings, match information, news and related content for general information and entertainment. Coverage, availability and data fields vary by sport, competition and data provider. We may add, change, suspend or remove features, competitions or content at any time.
2. Scores and information are not guaranteed
Scores, times, line-ups, statistics, alerts and other information can be delayed, incomplete, corrected, unavailable or inaccurate. A fixture marked live, finished, postponed or upcoming may later change when a source corrects its data. Do not rely on LiveScores as the sole source for a decision involving money, travel, betting, safety or any other material consequence. Official competition or team sources remain the best source for confirmation.
3. No betting, financial or professional advice
LiveScores does not provide betting, financial, legal, medical or professional advice, and does not operate a betting service. Any odds, predictions, trends, highlights or third-party information are informational only. You are responsible for decisions you make after using the service.
4. Accounts and My Sports
You must provide accurate registration information, keep your login credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account. You may manage your alert preferences in My Sports. We may suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users or our legal rights.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the site for personal, lawful and non-commercial purposes. You must not interfere with the service, bypass security, scrape or systematically extract content without permission, overload the site, use automated tools in a way that harms availability, infringe rights, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person or use the service unlawfully.
6. Intellectual property and third-party material
The LiveScores name, design, software, original content and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Sports data, team names, competition names, logos, images, video and other material may belong to their respective owners or be supplied under third-party terms. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of that material. You may not reproduce, redistribute or commercially exploit it without the relevant permission.
7. Advertising and external links
The service may contain advertising, sponsor material and links to third-party websites or services. These are provided for convenience and do not mean that LiveScores endorses them. Third parties control their own content, availability, privacy practices and terms. Deal with them at your own discretion.
8. Availability, liability and indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or complete. LiveScores is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or loss-of-profit damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You agree to indemnify LiveScores and its operators against claims, losses or costs arising from your unlawful use of the service or breach of these Terms.
9. Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal information and how you can exercise rights under POPIA.
10. Changes and termination
We may revise these Terms by publishing an updated version on this page. The updated Terms take effect on the stated effective date. We may suspend or terminate access where necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance or a breach of these Terms.
11. South African law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. For questions, corrections or notices, use our contact page.
These Terms are a practical website template and should be reviewed by a South African legal professional before use where your commercial arrangements, advertising programme or user data processing changes materially.
